November 7, 2021 ‘God our Deliverer’

Speaker: Abraham Ninan
Topic: God our Deliverer
We live in difficult times. In the past two years, over five million people have died from Covid 19. Many have suffered the loss of loved ones, faced economic hardships, job losses, etc., not to mention the usual travails that all of us are subject to. Psalm 124 is very relevant to our situation. David begins by saying that if the Lord had not been for us, we would have perished. He goes on to describe the hardships faced by humanity and concludes on a note of hope because God is on our side.

Speaker: Reverend Santosh Ninan
Topic: Parable of the Lost Sheep

The service video will be available on Sunday starting at 5pm:

The Sinner and the โ€œSaintโ€

Jesus told a parable of two people who went to the temple to pray. One proudly told God how good he was and the other cried out for mercy. The parable teaches us important lessons about the awful sin of pride, the way to approach God in prayer and how humans can find favor with God. ย

The Parable of the Generous Father

There are three main characters in the parable of the prodigal son. Tonight we will consider the father who demonstrated such remarkable love for his wayward child. It is a story of hope, compassion and rejoicing.ย

June 6, 2021: Suffering, Hope and the Pandemic

Many people have suffered inordinately from the pandemic. Is there hope? We will examine the experience of Job who lost everything. His story of excruciating suffering which ended in hope gives us some help in confronting our own troubles.ย

May 2: The Parable of the Rich Fool

In the parables, Jesusย conveysย spiritualย truths recounting simple stories with a twist. The parable of the rich fool is about a rich farmer who has a bumper crop. He decides to store his surplus grain in bigger barns and then relax by eating,ย drinking and having fun. Just then God appears on the sceneย and informs him that he is about to die. The story speaks of the deceitfulness of riches and the pitfalls of greed and selfishness. Join us to learn from Jesus, the master teacher.

April 4: Hope of the Resurrection
